Reason: Previous high level of IP vandalism. There has been a concerted effort by nationalist editors to platform fringe views (in particular a primordialist view of the languages' origin). Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Persistent re-addition of uncited claims. Onel5969 TT me 15:34, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
Reason: I am requesting semi-protection for the Wikipedia page on the Kushwaha (surname) due to ongoing disruptive edits and vandalism. Despite the presence of reliable sources to verify the content, certain users continue to remove essential information without providing valid reasons or citations.
Reasons for Protection:
1. Persistent Vandalism: The page has been subject to repeated edits that remove verified information, disrupting the integrity of the content.
2. Importance of Content: The information on this page is crucial for understanding the Kushwaha surname, its origins, and cultural significance. The removal of this content undermines the educational value of the article.
3. Available Sources: There are numerous reliable sources available that support the content currently on the page. These sources can be referenced to validate the information and demonstrate its importance.
4. Community Consensus: Protecting the page would help maintain a stable and accurate representation of the Kushwaha surname, reflecting the consensus of knowledgeable contributors.
5. Encouraging Constructive Editing: Semi-protection would allow only registered editors to contribute, helping to foster a more constructive editing environment.
I believe that semi-protecting this page will help preserve the integrity of the information and ensure that it remains a valuable resource for readers seeking to learn about the Kushwaha surname.
Thank you for considering this request.

Current requests for reduction in protection level
[edit]Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
- To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
- Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
- Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
- If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.
Reason: Protecting talk about this page hides the breadth and depth of concern that the page is doing harm to Wikipedia's reputation. It plays into the narrative that Wikipedia is being captured by activists with minority (not to say extreme) views and objevtives. Neverbeen~enwiki (talk) 08:54, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- Automated comment: A request for protection/unprotection for one or more pages in this request was recently made, and was denied at some point within the last 8 days.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 09:20, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Neverbeen~enwiki: Such as the massive amount of drive-by editors drawn to the page by the GB News piece who make one abusive comment and then never edit again? Talk pages are not protected except as a last resort to kerb disruption that would make them all but unusable. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v threads critiques 15:32, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
Reason: The article is in poor shape, with multiple spelling and grammatical errors. The History section of the article is too long. In fact, there seems to be no reason for it to have an extended-protection tag. TNM101 (chat) 13:39, 13 October 2024 (UTC)

Current requests for edits to a protected page
[edit]Please request an edit directly on the protected page's talk page before posting here
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
- Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among
{{Edit protected}}
,{{Edit template-protected}}
,{{Edit extended-protected}}
, or{{Edit semi-protected}}
to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed. - Where requests are made due to the editor having a conflict of interest (COI; see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}
template should be used. - Requests to move move-protected pages should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not here.
- If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
- This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.
I want to add a little information inside the template since houthi is already added on the Belligerents side i think we should add the casualties of the yemani also in the template same as egyptians or syrians especially those who died as resulted from isreali airstrike and according to those articles 20 July 2024 Israeli attack on Yemen and 29 September 2024 Israeli attacks on Yemen, the yemani casualties are 20 killed, and +147 injured 70.26.36.11 (talk) 03:48, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
- Not done. The request is vague, nonspecific, and cites zero sources. ~Anachronist (talk) 07:31, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- Anachronist have u even read my request? How it's vague and nonspecific. I want to add the yemani casualties resulted from isreali airstrike as it's part of the conflict and if you literally opened the 2 articles you will found all the sources you need.--70.26.36.11 (talk) 07:40, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- Those monitoring this request page are not involved with that article, and are not going to enter into debates or discussion. Requests made on this page must be complete and actionable. Your request is neither. You have not stated how you want anything changed. You have not made any specific request in the form "change X to Y" with proper wiki-markup and sources cited. Basically make your request as if you are editing the article yourself. ~Anachronist (talk) 07:48, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- Anachronist, i want to add information not change
I want to add the yemani casualties to the first template under or with the casualties of lebanon and syria because they were killed by Israel as resulted from this conflict. The sources are here source 14 killed, source of six killed. If u can't add this information could you at least put it in the talk page.--70.26.36.11 (talk) 14:29, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
In the second paragraph it states that "The desire to prevent the collapse of the Palestinians and to avoid more refugees were some of the reasons for the entry of the Arab League into the country, which began the 1948 Arab–Israeli War." It is absurd to characterize the invasion by the Arab league into Israel, which triggered the War of Independence as an "entry". The words "entry of" should be changed to "invasion by" which is supported by the source text and just about every other paper on the Israeli War of Independance. Apndrew (talk) 01:34, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
My suggestion is to leave out the following 2 sentences in the "German complicity" paragraph as they seem to be based on misunderstandings:
"She also highlighted police suppression of pro-Palestine protests throughout Germany[509] as evidence of state complicity.[508] Karen Wells et al. highlight how Germany has entrenched its complicity in Israel's actions by banning use of the word "genocide" in reference to Israel.[471][better source needed]"
1. In general violent protests are not allowed in Germany. As some of the first pro-Palestine protests were violent, they were sometimes forbidden by courts, if they were expected to turn violent. But that is common policy in Gemany with all subjects and not special for pro-Palestine protests.
Meanwhile, there even is a calendar concerning pro-Palestinian protests[6] with daily up to 20 protests all over Germany. Thus, there is no general police suppression of pro-Palestine protests as is suggested by the current wording.
2. The word “genocide” is not banned in reference to Israel in Germany - maybe that was a misunderstanding: What is not allowed in Germany is to call for genocide against Jews. The slogan “From the river to the sea” is seen as such call and banned. Gilbert04 (talk) 15:34, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
Why not include the dates of each conflict, also the displaced civilians of Gaza so far which are over 1 million?
Also is it not important to mention the context of Hezbollah involvement and how this has impacted civilians in Lebanon? Classyhippie (talk) 12:02, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- Not done. The editors here are not involved in that article. We are not here to discuss it, but examine uncontroversial edit requests. We are not going to do the work for you. If you have a specific request to propose, then propose it in the form "change X to Y", "add X after Y", or something similar, and provide sources. You have neityer stated where the change should be made, nor how it should be made, and you have not cited any sources. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:01, 13 October 2024 (UTC)

Meets the minimum criteria, and a random sampling of their creations doesn't raise any red flags. My only concern is their liberal use of quotations in reception sections, but I don't consider it an overly serious issue for this permission as the copyright reports come away otherwise clean; I've also started a discussion on their talk page about it. —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 18:54, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
Dear Wikipedia Admins, I am requesting the Autopatrolled right to further support my contributions to Wikipedia. While I may not have thousands of edits or article creations, my work is rooted in careful research and learning from experienced editors. My focus is on Iranian early modern, modern, and contemporary art and culture, especially highlighting the stories of Iranian women often overlooked in history. I ensure all my edits are supported by reliable, academic sources, and I have a track record of accurate contributions with very few reverts. I believe that having the Autopatrolled right would allow me to continue enhancing the articles related to Iran and Iranian art and culture. Thank you for your consideration. Warm regards, Hounaam (talk) 22:53, 6 October 2024 (UTC)

Extended confirmed[edit]
I requesting extended confirmed rights. I have only 463 edits on the en wp, but I have 17 515 edits on nn wp, over 1900 on se wp and ovdf 1200 on nb wp. I used to be an active user of MT tools, especially between Scandinavian languages, when the MT tools were available for all. As a computational linguist I am evaluating MT output as part of my job, also for this reason WPs tools are interesting to me. Trondtr (talk) 10:19, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
Recently reached the 500-edit line, and my timeline in Wikipedia is nearly 10 years. Can I get the extended confirmed rights, Now like in the translation edit? UzbukUdash (talk) 13:52, 13 October 2024 (UTC) |

New page reviewer[edit]
I have been a registered user on Wikipedia for several years, with over 500 undeleted mainspace edits. I possess a strong understanding of content policies and guidelines, supported by my experience in quality control processes. I have actively participated in deletion processes like AfD, PROD, and CSD, contributed to Articles for Creation, and written new articles. I maintain a solid track record of interacting civilly and constructively with other editors, especially newcomers. I have no active behavioral blocks or 3RR violations within the last 6 months, and I am committed to reviewing pages solely on a volunteer basis. Imad_J (talk) 13:26, 3 October 2024 (UTC)
Re-requesting NPP after my trial. I participated in new content reviewing and redirect reviewing as well as AfC reviewing during my trial. I also helped grow my knowledge of the review process, notability topics (even the specifics), and the deletion process. While I did not participate in a lot of deletion-related aspects, I tried to grew my CSD log, PROD log, and I did participate in RfD discussions. Page mover[edit]
I often move poorly-titled pages to more appropriate titles, usually to make them more WP:CONCISE, specific, neutral, or to correct spelling and transliterations. I also revert undiscussed moves in line with WP:RMUM. I would greatly appreciate having the ability to manage this myself. Skitash (talk) 21:43, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
I'd like to get this right to delete unnecessary redirects (i.e. move pages over existing single revision redirects regardless of target). Additionally, I would also like to try to harmonize some pages of Spanish municipalities with the name of the country and the province (when necessary) instead of other subnational units (such as comarca). Moreover if a double denomination exists in some cases, I shall use the slash with spaces in between to enhance visual effect of different linguistic nomenclatures. However if an English form is more relevant I shall use it instead of double and local denominations. Other than that I could help elsewhere to move pages if necessary. Thank you, Nuvolet (talk)
I recently requested page mover permissions two months ago to help with the post-move cleanup of LGBTQ related articles following the rename of the article (and related Portal:LGBTQ and WP:WikiProject LGBTQ+ studies and related categories, following their respective RM's) and was granted the permissions for 2 months to automatically expire. I have since helped move a whole lot of uncontroversial pages to reflect the new consensus and participated in RMs for potentially more controversial ones, but there are still many more pages left, that I don't expect to be done by end of the month before my permissions would expire. I have since the request and the related Requested Move discussions gained a lot more experience in the space and find it quite interesting, so I'm coming here to request for the permission to be extended indefinitely as I would also like to continue to help with WP:RM/TR and getting more involved in being able to close RM's if they require moves with page mover permissions outside of just the LGBTQ article space, which I will continue to help move and the related post move cleanups (which I have helped do for not just articles I have moved myself, but also on behalf of several articles others have moved but missed to update related templates and such). Pending changes reviewer[edit]
I have been contributing to pages for three years now, with prior experience in patrolling edit filter log. I would like to get reviewer rights so I can contribute to Wikipedia in more ways than I am able to, presently, and help with the backlog. Since my last request in July, I've been making a track record of communicating collegially with other editors, in my talk page and elsewhere. I hope you'll consider me. Thank you. — hhypeboyh 💬 • ✏️ 23:11, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
I've been doing RC Patrolling (as a part of Anti-Vandalism) on Wikipedia for a while now, and I think that having the Pending Changes reviewer permission could be a good idea - there have been numerous instances involving a pending changes edit that I look at while looking through Special:RecentChanges that i wanted to accept/deny/etc, and i feel that this permission would be beneficial for my efficeincy. DM5Pedia 04:34, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
Hi! I believe that I'd be a good Pending Changes Reviewer, as I have a good amount of time on my hands, and can do monotonous tasks, like denying obvious vandalism, and the like. I meet, what I believe are all the requirements for this right, and humbly ask to receive this privilege. Thanks in advance! Legendbird (talk) 09:06, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
Reason for requesting pending changes reviewer rights: I am an Wikipedian for more than three years and part of various wikiprojects I need permission to expand my works on Wikipedia and also to observe Wikipedia articles. Cactinites (talk) 15:28, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
Hi! I've been using Wikipedia on-and-off since 2020, but I'm starting to become more active. I'd like to become a pending change reviewer, as I've often wanted to help out but have struggled finding where I can actually contribute, and I think this is a good place to contribute. I'm familiar with the guidelines, as well. Thx56 (talk) 21:28, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

Reason for requesting pending changes reviewer rights: I have been a wikipedia editor for some time now and love to revert vandalism and unconstructive edits to prevent the spread of problems on wikipedia. I currently am a Recent Changes patrol and love my job! I have successfully achieved 1000 total edits (or ~ 325 mainspace edits) on the english wikipedia. I can't wait to be a pending changes reviewer, as it will allow me to stop the spread of vandalism even farther! Thanks, Cooldudeseven7 (Cheers! Let's Discuss over a cup of tea!) Can I get RPC? I do about 20 edits per day, I help out newcomers (if i can) at the Teahouse, I have red all the policies and guidelines. Can I get pending changes reviewer? Electrou (formerly Susbush) (talk) 12:28, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
Hello! I am a Wikipedian with a heavy focus on anti-vandalism work and would like this permission to be able to further contribute to the field. I have read the basic content policies, WP:BLP, WP:NPOV, WP:NOR, WP:V, and WP:NOT. Also, I have contributed with many vandalism reverts and am already familiar with what vandalism is and is not WP:VANDAL and already have the rollback right. I have also read WP:COPYRIGHT and have helped a little bit in deleting copyvios that already existed. I would love to be able to help even more and expand what I can do. Thanks, 🔄️TryAgainSooner🕑 🗣️ 21:16, 9 October 2024 (UTC) |

Rollback[edit]
I regularly patrol the recent changes page using filters that flag edits that may have problems or could be vandalism. With confirmed vandals, I keep an eye on their contributions for a short time afterwards to catch any resumed vandalism, while continuing to patrol recent changes. I previously used RedWarn, but I currently use UltraViolet and Twinkle. Rollback would enhance my recent change patrolling and anti-vandalism efforts. Thank you. R0paire-wiki (talk) 04:48, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
Reason for requesting rollback rights: I have seen multiple non-notable articles specifically about pages of Indian armed forces officials which have been vandalised and since they are not visited regularly by people with rollback rights, it is difficult to revert them line by line. Sensitive regional topic related articles too aren't regularly visited by editors, hence once vandalised, it may take weeks or even months for such articles to get to the notice of mainstream editors. I generally resort to line by line editing and proof reading of such articles which I find, hence have less reverting and undo count. I am a trusted editor, hence any concerns about misuse of this right may be disposed. VSankeerthSai1609 (talk) 08:08, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
Hello. I have read all the policies and guidelines, I have 200 mainspace edits. Can I get Rollback? Electrou (formerly Susbush) (talk) 10:00, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
Reason for requesting rollback rights: I have done TWO rollback rights request, and I am happy to say that I have surpassed 200 mainspace edits and have also surpassed 1 month of Recent Changes Patrolling.I love the ability to help, and I already love to prevent vandalism with the help of Ultraviolet and Twinkle. I am ready to join the rollbacker force to get access to more tools, like AntiVandal and Huggle for even faster response. Don't worry, I won't bite the newcomers unless necessary! Template editor[edit]
I already work on templates from time to time, to improve formatting, fix links, add features, etc. My record speaks for itself that I am careful in making changes. Thanks. P 1 9 9 ✉ 13:27, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I'm working to make templates dark mode friendly, but since many templates are protected, I'm requesting template editor to efficiently implement dark mode compatibility. I've successfully made more than five template-protected edit requests so far (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), and I'd love to be able to make such edits myself without the need to provide an edit request in the future. I'm a trusted user, and I'd be more than happy to assist at CAT:ETP too. Thank you, Waqar💬 06:56, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
