[edit]This first section read much more like corporate ad-copy doublespeak than good encyclopedia english. Anyone care to whip some of it into shape? signed 21:35 Shanghai time 22 Dec 2004
- Yeah, I agree it has that tone, although the info is accurate. How might it be improved? Nathanlarson32767 13:43, 22 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- OK, I added some stuff to balance it. Nathanlarson32767 16:19, 22 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Updates
[edit]This company has been growing pretty rapidly, so some info may be changing (e.g. the number of programs or membership numbers). I have added footnotes so that readers can more easily see how old the info is. Nathanlarson32767 18:04, 22 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- You can prefix statements with As of 2005 (or whenever) that may become dated. --68.198.246.166 01:58, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
It has been growing rapidly but it is getting an uneven reputation around town. Away from the glossy ad copy of the sort posted here, there are some issues worth considering. The downside of a network based subscription service is that the research is not replicable. So much for being a "think tank". Its a magazine subscription scam dressed up with a few ivy leagers. Some former employees liken it to a sort of cult with a boiler room aspect. A weird place with a high burnout rate66.160.73.18 19:33, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Contributions
[edit]What's with the new 'contributions' section? Are the philanthropic ambitions of every company appropriate for an encyclopedia? HTH98 -- why was this added? Alan Thomas 20:17, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Public relations, presumably. Obuibo Mbstpo (talk) 21:06, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:CEB logo.jpg
[edit]File:CEB logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The Corporate Executive Board Company → CEB (The Corporate Executive Board Company) – This company changed its official name to CEB. http://www.bizjournals.com/washington/news/2012/09/05/corporate-executive-board-now.html --Relisted. - Oppose. No valid rationale for the move in terms of WP:AT (which numerous notices urge editors to read before requesting page moves) and an appallingly bad suggested new title. WP:Official names would also be a good reading suggestion. Andrewa (talk) 06:18, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose per Andrewa. With respect to WP:AT, official names matter little under normal circumstances. Xoloz (talk) 15:15, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Lede section
[edit]The lede section doesn't seem to me to explain clearly what the company actually does " CEB's offerings align to functional and industry roles, and primarily focus its research with major corporate functions, Finance, Financial Services, Government, Human Resources, Information Technology, Innovation and Strategy, Legal, Risk and Compliance, Marketing and Communications, Procurement and Operations, and Sales and Service" This just sounds liuke a lot of marketing puffery! Can anybody simplify this? Theroadislong (talk) 21:27, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
